The Marvel Champions Timeline (MCu) shares more than just continuity with the Marvel Cinematic Universe's own timeline. Like the MCU, the MCu's timeline is mutable. Our timeline reflects the current active roster and will automatically update to reflect changes in the approved character applications.

What does this mean? As characters are added, adopted, or dropped, the MCu's active roster and timeline will adjust accordingly. This allows for dynamic changes without requiring manual updates by admins, and reflects the active characters at any given moment.

Our take on the Multiverse is that time is like a river, always moving forward. Divergences create alternate timelines, much like different currents in the same river. Time remains fluid, and timelines may merge or split depending on significant events. But, ultimately, the primary timeline pushes forward.

How insistent are we? on maintaining a fixed timeline? Not very. We are open to adaptation and change. Characters may be dropped and readopted with revised characteristics. This flexibility allows us to maintain a "hyper-continuity" that evolves with the characters and players.

Some sites try to adhere strictly to canon from the Marvel Comics Universe. We prefer to maintain flexibility, giving handlers more freedom to shape the characters they want to play, without forcing a strict, rigid interpretation. Integrity and respect for the characters should always come first.

A mistake of Excelsior-sized proportions: The release of Captain Marvel (2019) introduced us to the Kree and Skrulls. However, this streamlined adaptation may lead to complications in future character adaptations, like Hulkling. Changing his character without considering canon relationships could create major inconsistencies.
